An Introduction to Tattooing for Aspiring

Tattoo Artists

Finding proper training to become a tattoo artist can be difficult. Apprenticeships are rare and sometimes exploitative.

You could buy a tattoo machine and inks online and attempt to teach yourself, but tattooing involves creating a controlled wound on yourself or others, so knowledge about safety and technique is essential.

Before committing to a full course or apprenticeship, try our taster course to see if tattooing is right for you.

You’ll learn the fundamentals: tattoo safety and hygiene, using rotary tattoo machines, choosing needles and setting up a professional tattoo station. Plus, you’ll get hands-on practice on synthetic skin in a licensed studio.

All materials are included, and you’ll take home a detailed manual to continue learning.

You won’t become a fully qualified tattoo artist in one session, but you’ll gain a clearer understanding of whether tattooing could be the career for you. You’ll also have the opportunity for supervised follow-up sessions as you work towards becoming a professional tattoo artist.

We run training courses most weeks, so book your taster session by WhatsApp or email and let us know your preferred dates.

Take the first step to exploring tattooing as a career.
